-2x+4y = 8

First find the y intercept

Let x =0

-2(0) + 4y = 8

4y = 8

Divide by 4

4y/4 = 8/4

y = 2

The y intercept is 2

(0,2)

Now find the x intercept

y = 0

-2x +4(0) = 8

-2x = 8

Divide by -2

-2x/-2 = 8/-2

x = -4

The x intercept is -4

(-4,0)

We can plot the two points and draw a straight line between them
