We know the square root of 36 is 6.

As a result, the total value inside the bracket should give us 6.

Thus, 13 - 7 does gives us 6.

So, x = 13

Or

(x – 7)^2 = 36,

Square root both sides to get rid of the square symbol

Now:

(x - 7) = 6

+7 both sides

x= 13
