Force is measured in "Newton's" - kg-m/s^2

F = M a = kg * m/s^2

This in the kgm-m systen - in the gram-cm system you have

F = dynes = gram-cm/s^2

Since 1 gm = .001 kg and 1 cm = .01 m

1 dyne = 1.0^-5 newtons
