Let's satrt by copying the equation:

9=5v+27+4v

Firslty, let's leave the equation with all the terms with v on one side and all the term without v on the other.

The right side has all the terms with v, but there is one without v that we need to pass to the other side., we can do that by substracting both sides by 27:

\begin{gathered} 9-27=5v+27+4v-27 \\ 9-27=5v+4v+27-27 \\ 9-27=5v+4v \end{gathered}

Now, we evaluate the like-terms on each side:

-18=9v

Now, we can invert the sign so that the variable v go to the left side, as usual:

9v=-18

To finish the solve. we can divide both sides by 9:

\begin{gathered} (9v)/(9)=(-18)/(9) \\ v=-2 \end{gathered}
