15x + 6y = 156 ........ (2)

Now, the subtract the equation (1) from equation (2)

15x + 6y - (7x + 6y ) = 156 - 126

15x + 6y - 7x - 6y = 30

8x = 30

x = 30/8

x = 3.75 $

put x = 3.75 in equation (2)

5(3.75) + 2y = 52

18.75 + 2y = 52

2y = 52 - 18.75

y = 33.25/2
