Use the next general form to find the expansion of the given binomial:


(a+b)^6=a^6+6a^5b+15a^4b^2+20a^3b^3+15a^2b^4+6ab^5+b^6

Then, the third term of the given binomial expansion is:


\begin{gathered} (2x+y)^6 \\ \\ 15(2x)^4y^2=15(16x^4)y^2=240x^4y^2 \end{gathered}

Answer: 240x^4y^2
