The equation is:


y=2x-1

The general form of a straight line is:


y=mx+c

Where,


\begin{gathered} m\text{ = slope} \\ \\ c=\text{ y-intercept} \end{gathered}

At x = 0 value of y is:


\begin{gathered} y=2x-1 \\ \\ y=2(0)-1 \\ \\ y=-1 \end{gathered}

At y = 0 value of x is:


\begin{gathered} y=2x-1 \\ \\ 0=2x-1 \\ \\ x=(1)/(2) \end{gathered}

So the line passes the point (0,-1) and (1/2, 0).
