We are given two equations

-4x+11y=15\qquad eq.1
x=2y\qquad eq.2

Let us substitute eq.2 into eq.1

\begin{gathered} -4x+11y=15 \\ -4(2y)+11y=15 \\ -8y+11y=15 \\ 3y=15 \\ y=(15)/(3) \\ y=5 \end{gathered}

So we found the value of y that is 5.

Now let us substitute the value of y into eq.2

\begin{gathered} x=2y \\ x=2(5) \\ x=10 \end{gathered}

So the value of x is 10.

Therefore,

x = 10

y = 5
