2x+3=19

1) Considering that we can call t-shirts "x" then we can write out the following equations to express this problem:

Robert: 2x +3

Brianne: x

2) Now, we can write out the following equation to find out how many t-shirts does Brianne have:

\begin{gathered} 2x+3=19 \\ 2x+3-3=19-3 \\ 2x=16 \\ (2x)/(2)=(16)/(2) \\ x=8 \end{gathered}

So that's the number of t-shirts Brianne has. And the equation used is:

2x+3=19
