Sine the base of the triangle are divided equally the opposite angle to the sides will be 45 degrees

Considering one of the right angles triangle;

Hypotenuse = x

Opposite = 3

Angle theta = 45 degrees

According to SOH CAH TOA

sin theta = opp/hyp

sin 45 = 3/x

x = 3/sin45

x = 3/(1/√2)

x = 3 * √2

x = 3√2

Hence the value of x is 3√2
