The given equation is

3x+6=-4x-29

First, we add 4x on each side.

\begin{gathered} 3x+4x+6=-4x+4x-29 \\ 7x+6=-29 \end{gathered}

Then, we subtract 6 from each side.

\begin{gathered} 7x+6-6=-29-6 \\ 7x=-35 \end{gathered}

At last, we divide the equation by 7.

\begin{gathered} (7x)/(7)=-(35)/(7) \\ x=-5 \end{gathered}

Hence, the solution is x = -5.
