Sorting the data:

16, 19, 21, 21, 23, 24, 25, 27, 31, 57

Part B. Calculate the mean

To calculate the mean, we need to add up all of the values:

S = 16 + 19 + 21 + 21 + 23 + 24 + 25 + 27 + 31 + 57

S = 264

Now divide the sum by the total number of elements (10):

Mean = 264 / 10 = 26.4

The mean is 26.4°F

Part C

The median is the central value of the dataset. There are 10 values, thus the central value is at the position (10+1) / 2 = 5.5.

The median is the mean of the fifth and the sixth elements: (23+24)/2 = 23.5
