Example.
Assume we have a prism with triangular base. The base of the prism have a length base of 19 in and the height of the base is 24 in. The height of the prism is 47 in.
In this case the area of the base is:
Now we multiply the area of the base by the total height:
Therefore the volume is 10716 cubic inches,
From this example we notice that the first step is to calculate the area of the base, then we multiply it by the height.
