From the problem, WV is a perpendicular bisector so PW and WQ are congruent to each other.

The equation will be :


\begin{gathered} PW=WQ \\ 3x-8=2x+4 \\ 3x-2x=4+8 \\ x=12 \end{gathered}

The value of x is x = 12

Substitute x = 12 to WQ :


\begin{gathered} WQ=2x+4 \\ WQ=2(12)+4 \\ WQ=24+4 \\ WQ=28 \end{gathered}

The length of WQ is 28
