A is located at (-4,-2), B is located at (4, 4), C is located at (5,0) and D is located at 1-3,2). Classify ABCD andgive the justification for your classification.

The coordinates are to be placed in quadrants.

Since A is negative x ( -4 ) and negative y ( -2 ), then A is in the third quadrant because in the third quadrant ( -x, -y ) is the coordinate.

Since B is positive x ( 4 ) and positive y ( 4 ), then B is in the first quadrant because the first quadrant is (x, y ) coordinate.

C is therefore in the first quadrant since both of its values are positive.

D is in the 2nd quadrant since it has a negative x and positive y.
