Given equation is,

y=31.8*(1.06)^n

Where, n is the number of years since 1990.

To find the average programmer’s salary in 2010.

Let us find the number of years between 1990 and 2010.

So, n=20

Substitute n=20 in the above equation we get,

\begin{gathered} y=31.8*(1.06)^(20) \\ =101,986.9 \\ \approx102,000 \end{gathered}

Hence, the average programmer’s salary in 2010 is $102,000.

Hence, the correct option is A.
