A fair die has 6 faces.

If the die was painted, and the probability of showing red is 2/6, then the following explains it;

\begin{gathered} P\lbrack E\rbrack=\frac{\text{Number of required outcomes}}{Number\text{ of all possible outcomes}} \\ \text{When P\lbrack{}Red\rbrack=}(2)/(6) \\ \text{This means 2 of the total 6 faces was painted red} \end{gathered}

In Usha's experiment, she must have painted 2 of the 6 faces red color.
