Company B will be the better choice as they charge lesser

What we want do here is to check which of the two companies would be better to contract

To do this, we shal make the calculations for each of the two companies and comapre the costs

For Company A;

fixed charge of $215, the extra charge at $0.5 per square foot for 400 square feet will be (400 * 0.5 = $200)

So the total amount to be charged by company A is;

$200 + $215 = $415

For Company B;

fixed charge of $100 and an extra charge of $0.75 per square foot

The extra charge will be 0.75 * 400 = $300

The total cost here will be $100 + $300 = $400

As we can see, we have the cost of company A greater than what company B will charge; so our answer is company B since they will charge less
