The correlation between the z-scores for x and for y is given by the following formula:

Z=(X-\mu)/(\sigma)

In this case:

Corr(x,y)=0.88

Therefore:

The correlation coefficient for the z-scores of x and y would be:

Corr((X-\mu_X)/(\sigma_X),(Y-\mu_Y)/(\sigma_Y))

And it is equal to:

Corr(x,y)=0.88

Answer: C. 0.88
