Information given

Use the fact that the sumo f the angles in a triangle is 180 degrees for this question:Two angles of a triangle have the same measure and the third one is 36° greater thanthe measure of each of the other the. Find the measure of the 2 smaller angles and the measure of a larger angle

Solution

Notation: Let x the measure of each of the two smaller angles

For this case we can set up the following equations:

x+x+(x+36)=180

And now we just need to solve for x and we got:

3x=144
x=(144)/(3)=48º

And for the larger angle we got:

x+36=48+36=84º
