Given the equation below:


-3=x+8

Subtract 8 from both sides of the equation


\begin{gathered} -3=x+8 \\ -3-8=x+8-8 \end{gathered}

Simplify


\begin{gathered} subtract\text{ the numbers} \\ -3-8=x \\ -11 \end{gathered}

Hence the correct answer is -11
