In the fall of 1956 Elvis’s recording of “Hound Dog'' topped the American Pop charts. At the same time, formerly all-white schools in some parts of the country were struggling with the process of integration. Why might a person accept racial mixing in popular culture, such as in music, but not accept racial mixing in cultural institutions, such as public schools? What does this say about the particularities and possibilities of racial mixing in music culture? How might music culture thus help lead the way towards integration in other areas of American life?

Answer:

Music is different than races it's like how water and watching for example trolls are both in the world. They are completely different people are ok with hearing racial mix in music because they just hear they don't see. Some people don't like seeing mixed races or multiple races hanging out together because they let their fears control them instead of seeing an amazing friendship between human beings. After all, we are all humans, right? This might help lead integration because if you think about it if a celebrity or someone important that area of people believe them without doing their own research.
