We are asked to determine the impulse of a dog given the change in velocity. To do that we will use the following formula:

I=p_2-p_1

This means that the impulse is the change in momentum. Now, we use the formula for momentum:

p=mv

Where "m" is the mass and "v" the velocity. Now, we substitute in the formula for impulse:

I=mv_2-mv_1

Now, we take "m" as a common factor:

I=m(v_2-v_1)

Now, we substitute the values:

I=(24kg)(9(m)/(s)-4(m)/(s))

Solving the operation:

I=120kg(m)/(s)

Therefore, the impulse is 120 kgm/s
