Even if a periodic table is not color coded, we can still find elements with the same chemical properties. This is easy because when we look at the group to find the elements, we see those that have similar chemical properties.

As an example, the Elements of group 1 forms basic oxides. This is a general chemical property of all group 1 elements.

b)

They have similar chemical properties because all the elements in any group has the same number of valence electrons.

c)

Lithium, Sodium and Potassium.

They're all elements of group 1, they all have 1 valence electron
