we will pick up two different points from the line to calculate the slope.

and these two points are,

(1,0) and (0,-3)

now, the slope is


\begin{gathered} m=(-3-0)/(0-1) \\ m=(-3)/(-1)=3 \end{gathered}

so the slope is m = 3 and from the graph the y-intercept is -3
