1) For the given picture, let's find the value for x.

m∠1 = 4x, m∠2= y, m∠3=76

2) According to the Vertical Angle Theorem we can state that

∠1≅∠3 So, we write

4x = 76

x= 19º

Since∠1 and ∠2 are supplementary,∠2 and ∠2 are supplementary either we can write:

∠3+∠2=180º

76+y=180º

y=180-76

y=104
