the scale factor is 3

to find the scale factor we measure one side of the red triangle; in this case, AB is 2

then we measure the dilated side A'B' and we obtain 6

so, we have to find a number that if we multiply by 2, we obtain 6


\begin{gathered} 2\cdot x=6 \\ x=(6)/(2) \\ x=3 \end{gathered}
