Answer

Length of the field = 70 feet.

Width of the field = 32 feet.

Step-by-step explanation

The perimeter of a figure is the sum of all the exterior sides of that figure.

So, for the rectangular fencing to be done, Perimeter = 204 feet

For a rectangle,

Perimeter = 2 (L + W)

L = Length

W = Width

For this question, the length is supposes to be 6 feet longer than twice the width.

L = 6 + 2W

W = ?

Perimeter = 204 feet

Perimeter = 2 (L + W)

204 = 2 (6 + 2W + W)

204 = 2 (6 + 3W)

204 = 12 + 6W

We can rewrite this as

12 + 6W = 204

6W = 204 - 12

6W = 192

Divide both sides by 6

(6W/6) = (192/6)

W = 32 feet

L = 6 + 2W

L = 6 + 2(32)

L = 6 + 64

L = 70 feet

Hope this Helps!!!
