To find the equation of the line we first need to find the slope.

The slope is given by

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

In our case we have

\begin{gathered} m=(-4-(-10))/(0-(-2)) \\ =(-4+10)/(2) \\ =(6)/(2) \\ =3 \end{gathered}

Now that we have the slope we also notice that the intercept of the line with the y-axis is -4.

Therefore, the equation is

y=3x-4
