Finding x

Vertical angles: we know that the angles formed when two lines are crossed are equal

Corresponding angles

When two parallel lines are crossed by a transversal one, equal angles are formed

Since ∡3 + ∡4 = 180°

And ∡4 = 2x + 13 , ∡3 = 3x + 127, then

∡3 + ∡4 = 180°

(2x + 13)+(3x + 127)= 180

(2x + 3x) + (13 + 127) = 180

5x + 140 = 180

5x = 40

x = 40/5 = 8

Answer x = 8
