You have the following information:

- cost of registration fee: $25.95

- charges for buying a song: $0.99

Allison has $100. If x is the number of song she can buy, then, 0.99x is the cost of the number of song she chooses.

The total cost of songs ans the registration fee can not be greater than the money Allison has. This situation can be written algebraically as follow:

25.95 + 0.99x < 100

To determine the number of songs she can buy, you solve the previous inequality, just as follow:

25.95 + 0.99x < 100 subtract 25.95 both sides

0.99x < 100 - 25.95 simplify

0.99x < 74.05 divide by 0.99 both sides

x < 74.05/0.99

x < 74.79

Hence, Allison can buy a maximum of 74 songs
