We need to solve:

First let's pass all the terms with x to the left side of the equation and all the other terms to the right:

$\begin{gathered} 6x+5=5x+3x-7 \\ 6x-5x-3x=-7-5 \end{gathered}$

Then we add or substract the terms with x between themselves:

$\begin{gathered} 6x-5x-3x=-7-5 \\ (6-5-3)x=-12 \\ -2x=-12 \end{gathered}$

Finally we calculate x:

$\begin{gathered} -2x=-12 \\ x=-(12)/(-2) \\ x=6 \end{gathered}$

So x=6.
