Using the distance formula:

d=√((y2-y1)^2+(x2-x1)^2)

Where

(x1, y1)==> (12, 8)

(x2, y2) ==>(4, 2)

Substitute the values into the distance formula above;

\begin{gathered} d=\text{ }√((2-8)^2+(4-12)^2) \\ \\ \text{ = }√((-6)^2+(-8)^2) \\ \\ =\text{ }√(36+64) \\ \\ =√(100) \\ \\ =10 \end{gathered}

Therefore the distance is 10 units

ANSWER:

B) 10 units
