Translation. Rule: (x -6, y +3 )

1) Let's pick the points for the Pre-image of this Transformation. Look on the graph and locate it.

G (1,-2) H (2,1) I (3,-4)

Now let's locate the points of the image

G' (-5,1) H' (-4,4) I'(-3,-1)

2) Since the figures remain the same, it is not a Dilation.

So let's focus on a Translation when we move a figure up/down or to the right/to the left.

Looking at the point G to G'. This point rises 3 up (+3) and 6 to the left (-6)

So we write the rule for a translation, as

(x -6, y +3 )

App

G (1 -6, -2+3) = G' (-5,1)
