The lenghts of AB equals that of AC. Since angle ABC= angle ACB= 44 degrees ( base angles of isosceles triangle )

\begin{gathered} AC=AB \\ 3x+1=7 \\ 3x=7-1 \\ 3x=6 \\ x=(6)/(3) \\ \\ x=2 \end{gathered}

The right choice is x=2

Solve for X A. x = 8/3B. x = 7 C. 13/3D. x = 2-example-1
