We can solve it using the rule of three, so by writing down the rule of three we get

\frac{6\text{ miles}}{30\text{ minutes}}=\frac{15\text{ miles}}{x\text{ minutes}}

Do the cross multiplication

\begin{gathered} 30\cdot15=6\cdot x \\ \\ \end{gathered}

Solve it for x

\begin{gathered} 450=6\cdot x \\ \\ x=(450)/(6) \\ \\ x=75\text{ minutes} \end{gathered}

Then it would take 75 minutes to ride 15 miles
