Exponential function:

y= inital students (1 + r )^ t

Where:

r= increase rate in decimal form: 8/100 = 0.08

t= years = 5

y= number of students after t years

Replacing:

y= 300 (1 +0.08)^5

y= 300 ( 1.08)^5

y= 440.7 = 440 students
