The ratio of the corresponding sides of two similar triangles is equal. Since traingles BCD and EFG are similar, we can write


\begin{gathered} (BC)/(EF)=(CD)/(FG) \\ (19)/(x)=(9)/(43) \\ x=19*(43)/(9) \\ x=90.8 \end{gathered}
