Rational numbers can be made by dividing 2 integer number . I want you to know that integer has no fractional parts. Exmple of rational numbers are 1.5 . To get a rational number like 1.5 we can divide two integers like 3 and 2 .

3/2 = 1.5

Rational number has an end , this means decimal which can be terminated , unlike irrational numbers like Pi . Irrational numbers like pi has no ratio. Recall pi = 3.1459..............

Generally rational numbers can be expressed as a ratio just like 1.5 . 1.5 is a rational number as it can be express as a ratio . Ratio simply means dividing a number by another number . The ratio of 1.5 is simply 3/2. so 1.5 is a rational number because it can be express in ratio.
