Determining number of moles of Hexanal, C6H12O

given: Mass = 523.46g

Molecular Mass(C6H12O) =(C*6 +H*12 + O)

=(12.0107*6 +1.00794*12 +15.999)

=100.16g/mol

Using the formula: number of moles,n = Mass/Molecular Mass

n= 523.46g/100.16g/mol

=5.23moles

This means that number of moles for C6H12O is 5.23moles
