(i)

Given data:

The given expression is (4x + 7) ^2.

The given expression can be written as,

\begin{gathered} (4x+7)^2=(4x+7)(4x+7) \\ =4x(4x+7)+7(4x+7) \\ =16x^2+28x+28x+49 \\ =16x^2+56x+49 \end{gathered}

Thus, the given expression can be written as 16x^2 +56x+49.

(ii)

he given expression is (3x – 8)• (3x+8).

The given expression can be written as,

\begin{gathered} (3x-8)•(3x+8)=3x(3x+8)-8(3x+8) \\ =9x^2+24x-24x-64 \\ =9x^2-64 \end{gathered}

Thus, the value of the given expression is 9x^2 -64.
