Explanation:

When 2 negative numbers subtract.

Example:

-4 - (-5) = 1

Rule: When a negative number is subtracted from a negative number, they're added and the second negative number changes to a positive.

Now:

-4 + 5 = 1.

When 2 negative numbers multiply.

Example:

-3 x (-6) = 18

Rule: When two negative numbers multiply, the product always remains positive.

Represented as:

3 x 6 = 18.

When 2 negative numbers divide.

Example:

-81 / -9 = 9

Rule: When two negative numbers divide, the quotient always remains positive.

Represented as:

81 / 9 = 9

Note:

Receiving a positive-sum is impossible, you can't add two negative numbers to receive a positive sum.
