a)

Substract the average annual snowfall for Boise from the average anual snowfall for Moline to find how many more snowfall Moline receives compared to Boise:

33.3in-19.9in=13.4in

Then, on average, Moline receives 13.4 more inches of snow than Boise.

b)

To find the percentual difference with respect to Boise, divide the difference over the amount of snowfall that Boise receives and multiply the result by 100%:

\begin{gathered} (13.4in)/(19.9in)*100\text{ \%} \\ =0.673\ldots*100\text{ \%} \\ =67.3\text{ \%} \end{gathered}

Then, on average, Moline receives 67.3% more snowfall than Boise.

c)

To find the percentual difference with respect to Moline, divide the difference over the amount of snowfall that Moline receives and multiply the result by 100%:

\begin{gathered} (13.4in)/(33.3in)*100\text{ \%} \\ =0.4024\ldots*100\text{ \%} \\ =40.2\text{ \%} \end{gathered}

Then, on average, Boise receives 40.24% less snow than Moline.

d)

Absolute change is calculated using a substraction, while relative change is calculated using a substraction and a division. Then, in question 6(a), absolute change was calculated.

e)

According to the explanation on section (d), relative change was calculated on sections (b) and (c).
