The first thing I have to see is that we have 3 triangles, two of them have the same height C. We have to find the area of those 2 and subtracting it will give us the area of ABC

\begin{gathered} A1=(xh)/(2) \\ A2=((x+c)h)/(2) \\ A_(abc)=A2-A1 \\ \\ \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} A_(abc)=((x+c)h)/(2)-(xh)/(2) \\ A_(abc)=(1)/(2)(xh+ch-xh) \\ A_(abc)=(1)/(2)(ch) \\ A_(abc)=(c\cdot h)/(2) \end{gathered}
