We have to calculate the length of the pieces of rope after being cut into 4 equal parts.

We can think of the length of the piece as L/4, where L is the length of the original rope.

Then, as L = 2/5, the length of the piece will be:

L_p=(L)/(4)=((2)/(5))/(4)=((2)/(5)\cdot5)/(4\cdot5)=(2)/(20)=(1)/(10)=0.1

We can also think it like each part of the rope will be a quarter of the original length, so the length of each piece will be:

L_p=(1)/(4)L=(1)/(4)\cdot(2)/(5)=(2)/(20)=0.1

Answer: the length of each part will be 1/10 or 0.1 meters.
