Assume the given polynomial as,

P(x)\text{ = 2x + 4}

The zero of the given polynomial is calculated as,

P(x)\text{ = 0}

Therefore,

\begin{gathered} 2x\text{ + 4 = 0} \\ 2(x\text{ + 2) = } \\ x\text{ + 2 = 0} \\ x\text{ = -2} \end{gathered}

Thus the zero of the given polynomial is -2 .
