The given equation is

First, we add 4 on each side.

$\begin{gathered} (x)/(10)-4+4=5+4 \\ (x)/(10)=9 \end{gathered}$

Then, we multiply 10 on each side.

$\begin{gathered} (x)/(10)\cdot10=9\cdot10 \\ x=90 \end{gathered}$
