In this problem we are finding the speed of the bike, since the speed is found by dividing the distance traveled by the time it took to travel the distance in order to find its unit we need to also divide the unit of distance and time. This is done below:

\text{speed = }(miles)/(hours)

The unit we get from dividing distance and time is mi/h or miles per hour.
