We have the sum:

3+(3)/(5)+1+(1)/(4)

We can simplify it by finding a common denominator.

The least common denominator is 20, that is 5*4, so we can write:

\begin{gathered} (3\cdot20+3\cdot4+1\cdot20+1\cdot5)/(20) \\ (60+12+20+5)/(20) \\ (97)/(20) \end{gathered}

Answer: the sum is 97/20
