we have

f(x)=x^3

g(x)=x-5

so

Find out

(f+g)(-2)=f(-2)+g(-2)

step 1

Find f(x)+g(x)

f(x)+g(x)=x^3+x-5

step 2

Evaluate f(x)+g(x) for x=-2

f(-2)+g(-2)=(-2)^3+(-2)-5

f(-2)+g(-2)=-8-2-5

f(-2)+g(-2)=-15

therefore

(f+g)(-2)=-15
